Charismatic, open minded, willing to hear different sides of story's and willing to hear other peoples perspective. Takeaways: I feel I definitely have charisma. I'm not always the best at seeing other peoples perspective but I try my best. 2. ability to adjust, leader and ability to bring ...

Buyer Behavior No. 2

Need: UF has the opportunity to champion a student artist as a public figure from the university Alternative Evaluation: Customers can find more information through playlists like on Spotify or Soundcloud. They can also be referred to the UF artists through friends that might have had class with them or individuals who have heard the music before. I think in these situations it really depends on the individual. The people I get often hear about new music word of mouth thought so finding out through a friend is usually the most common way people hear the new tunes. I think quality and style are the most important factors when customers seek to satisfy this need. The music must be good first and foremost and then it must be a style they like in order for them to have need fulfillment. How they buy: All three interviewees used different streaming platforms to listen to their music. instead of buying an album in the traditional fashion, these individuals payed for a subscription to a ...

Halfway Reflection

1.Tenaciousness: When you are taking this course you have to truly be on top of your stuff. The course and its layout requires that you do your homework when its due and constantly stay on top of it. Your assignments are constantly due just days apart and you should definitely work ahead as much as possible otherwise your losing points. 2.This last assignment with the reading was actually the toughest for me to get through. I had just come home from a long shift at work and I was tired out of my mind. I had to complete all of my assignments in a constrained moment of time and for a good hour I thought about just letting it go and missing the assignment so I could sleep. I instead chose the opposite. I powered through the homework that was due and immediately slept after I was done. 3. Three tips I would give are the following. Definitely stay on top of your course material and work ahead when you can. That is no joke and its gonna take a lot of pressure of your head. Two would be t...

Elon Musk

1. The thing that surprised me most about Elon Musk is his unique beginnings yet his insane work ethic. 2. I admire most how hard working Elon is 3. I don't admire as much the how he handles certain situations 4. Elon had some rough patches with Tesla but worked hard and powered through 5. Elon exhibited his hard work and his mental capacity for making things people wanted. his competencies shined through by him being brilliant and working insanely hard. 6. I didn't find the reading that confusing in any part. 7. Elon definitely values hard work as top priority and I think the same, I believe the work ethic you put in is crucial for your business to succeed. Elon hard work and dedication is what allowed him to power past the obstacles that he faced. He continued to build his brands and break through in industries that were not as popular before he got around to them.

Figuring out buying behavior

Need Awareness: The three individual I interviewed all had great times and places when they could see my opportunity as viable. My opportunity is once again to have the University of Florida champion a student artist. Two of my interviewees thought this would be a great need for live performance while the third focused more on personal music listening. The idea that the artist is someone so close also resonated with all three. They believed that someone coming from their university would help boost moral and school pride as well as help set a bar of achievement that many could reach. Info search: When the interviewees look for a fix to this need they use different media platforms and google to find live events near them. Live performance can be a huge part of the need here and also using music streaming software was also where the interviewees would look for artists they wanted to hear more of. Findings: I believe the biggest area where this opportunity is prevalent is live perform...

Idea Napkin No. 1

1. I am a young hip hop artist at the university of Florida. I have skills in music creation and performance and my plan is to implement that into my opportunity. I want to be the artist that helps set the bar for what UF students can become with hard work and dedication. 2. I will provide quality entertainment and music to the students of the university. I will also be someone who can stand as a leader and example for what the University of Florida can do. Our champions are often athletes and the majority of students are not that. I believe having a student artist that becomes popular can do amazing things for the school. 3. The demographic and psychographic of my customers will be university of Florida students. it will also be anyone tied to the University that loves what it stands for. Most likely the demographic will be young college aged kids and people in Florida as well who support UF. 4. People will care because its someone close to them. So many artists go to the Univer...

Testing the hypothesis 2

Opportunity: UF has the opportunity to champion a student artist among its student body to become a public figure. 1. Who: individual that lived in Tallahassee what: this person lies outside of the boundary because they are not associated with the university of Florida and favor FSU. why: the don't have a tie to the school so theres no need 2. Who: individual that lived in Panama City What: The person is out of the boundary because they also favor FSU over UF and don't want to see the school get an individual like that before FSU does. why: they have no ties to the school and see it as direct competition to their favorite school 3. Who: UF Med student what: this individual lies inside the boundary but does not find music to be that important at the school Why: they have no interest in music when it comes to the school and choose to focus on a different aspect of the university rather than the talented student body it has. 4. Who: UF engineering student What: th...

Solving The Problem

So for this excessive I will focus on the opportunity of the University of Florida championing a student artist. The opportunity I see is for a public figure to rise from UF outside the realm of sports so that the other student at the school who have a passion for other things can look up to someone as well. For example: We have Tim Tebow as a public figure that comes from the sports realm. We should have someone similar that can do that for music. The opportunity awaits for someone to become a symbol of hope and something to strive towards as a UF student. It would put the person in a position of "if he did it, that means I can do it!" Solution: I think I would be a good candidate as a student artist that was championed by the school. My music is good enough and it's sound is quite popular at the moment. I have built momentum throughout the university from different fraternities to different departments in the school. I think that what I have to offer is good character...

hypothesis test

Hypothesis: The University of Florida student body has the opportunity to champion a student artist among them because they have done this in the past for football players but not other aspects of the school. What I found out about this opportunity is that people see the University as much bigger than just Gainesville. One individual I interviewed said the school was a premier college in the state a Florida and one of the best in the country. Many had ideas that someone rising from the student body would be seen as a symbol or something to work towards. I did have an individual that saw a student being championed from UF as a negative and stated that it would make other musicians feel bad. but for the  majority most people I interviewed had similar ideas. One interviewee said the university always has big name talent that comes to the school during the semesters. He went on to elaborate that combining education and entertainment is a key staple at the school and what better way t...

Identifying Opportunities in Economic and Regulatory Trends

1. Prison Reform (Regulatory) I found an article on this prison reform situation in the LA Times. Kim Kardashian has recently met with Donald Trump to discuss these issues and although she is no where near qualified to speak on such matters, it does show that there is an interest and opportunity in this area. I think when prison reform is all over the news and becoming such a huge talking point with celebrities and such, it shows that there is an opportunity for change in this aspect of regulation. I think individuals locked up for petty crimes and the American people are most likely customers of an opportunity like this. It helps bring fathers home to families and it helps keep our prisons free for more serious criminals. Why: I have seen in my lifetime countless numbers of people locked up for petty crimes and foolish things that both: waste tax payer dollars and flood our prisons unnecessarily. 2. Gun Laws need to be stricter (Regulatory) I found my information from an article ...
