hypothesis test
Hypothesis: The University of Florida student body has the opportunity to champion a student artist among them because they have done this in the past for football players but not other aspects of the school.
What I found out about this opportunity is that people see the University as much bigger than just Gainesville. One individual I interviewed said the school was a premier college in the state a Florida and one of the best in the country. Many had ideas that someone rising from the student body would be seen as a symbol or something to work towards. I did have an individual that saw a student being championed from UF as a negative and stated that it would make other musicians feel bad. but for the majority most people I interviewed had similar ideas. One interviewee said the university always has big name talent that comes to the school during the semesters. He went on to elaborate that combining education and entertainment is a key staple at the school and what better way to create excitement and buzz then if the entertainment was created at your own school. The hypothesis is nearly unchanged but the negative view I encountered with one of the interviewees was quite interesting. It shows that not everyone sees that as an opportunity!

Hey what’s up James, really enjoyed your post! For the most part I agree with your notion that the University of Florida should champion them self an artist to represent the school, but on the other hand, the first thought that comes to mind, is why haven’t they done it already? Also, I’m not sure if you’ve done this yet, but maybe you should look into the schools past, and see if they have ever championed an artist. If it didn’t work before, maybe they are reluctant to do it again. Just a thought, maybe something to be looked into.
